Extended Day Program Information

Seattle Country Day School offers the Extended Day Program as an extension to the school day. The program provides students with the opportunity to interact with peers of all ages, creating new friendships. The Extended Day Staff create a casual, flexible, and safe environment that allows students time to be creative, energetic, and/or quiet. They provide guidance and encourage students of different ages to interact and help one another when needed. The students have the opportunity to complete homework assignments in the Extended Day Program. Laptops are available to the 4th-8th grade students for homework purposes. After a nutritious snack, students may choose from a variety of activities:

Playground open daily, rain or shine, where the students may engage in organized games or individual play.

Gymnasium, when available, allows students to have access to a variety of indoor sports equipment such as scooters, tumbling mats, and volleyballs.

Computer labs are available for students to work on homework, research information, and create or play games.

Library is accessible for homework, reading, computer use, or just a quiet place to hang out.
