Incredible Giant

In Kirsten John's 2nd grade writer's workshop, students learn to tell a story, understand paragraph structure, use descriptive language, employ simile and metaphor, and create visual art relating to the subject.

An incredible giant stood before me. He had a jetpack with rotating rockets. The jetpack is perficktly polished I thought that it was silver. When I saw his straps they looked priceless. His hair touches the trophosphere. His head is as big as the world. The color of his pants and shirt where turquoise. I thought he was dressed in stones. His eyes were as blue as the sky in a summer day. He is always happy, kind and nice.

His size does not create as much destruction as you would think.
