Washington Children's Choice Picture Book Award Each year, primary age children in the State of Washington are eligible to vote for their favorite picture book from a list of nominated titles. Books on the ballot must have been published two to three years before the award year. Most of the current nominees will be read to the kindergarten and first grade students during library time.
