SCDS Alumnus Hits it Out of the Park!
Posted 03/22/2017 04:18PM

SCDS alumnus, Corbin Carroll, '15 was featured in a baseball preview which ran in The Seattle Times this week. The article's sub-headline said it all: "As a freshman, he was a key cog in Lakeside's first state title-game appearance. As a sophomore, he's already committed to UCLA."

Carroll was a freshman outfielder and pitcher last season, but stood out as a player to watch helping the Lakeside Lions get to their first Class 3A state championship game; only the second postseason appearance in Lakeside's history. "He's not just a talent. He goes about his business and wants to get better," said Lakeside Head Coach Kellen Sundin. According to the Times he was recruited as a hitter but he also pitches lefty and was 5-2 last year with a 2.39 ERA, and 53 strikeouts in 44 innings pitched.
