Winterim: Bodies in motion
Winterim is an SCDS tradition more than 30 years in the making. Over six Fridays during January and February, the entire student body, faculty—and often parents—hit the slopes or the ice rink. Kids take instruction in nordic skiing at Snoqualmie Pass, alpine skiing at Crystal Mountain, or partake in a skating and service learning program in Seattle.
The lessons of Winterim are many:
- Building confidence and self-reliance through learning or honing a physical skill
- Learning the importance of fitness
- Enjoying community in the beauty of nature
- Reinforcing the belief that bodies in motion make for better minds
Calling all SCDS Alums!
Help celebrate SCDS's unique Winterim tradition by joining alumni, parents, current Wildcats, and faculty on the slopes at Crystal Mountain on Friday, January 27. Click here to RSVP today.
